Syllabus: Study of Theories of History, explanations of the historical process and systematic knowledge, considering its methodological and ideological implications on the practice of historians. The reflection on the theoretical references of the various Historical Schools, privileging the notions of object of study, writing models, criteria of scientificity and procedure of systematization of historical knowledge. Scientific revolution and scientific method. Historical erudition and heuristic formulations. Philological method and documentary criticism. Historical method and historical science. Methods and techniques of historical research. Methodological currents of the 20th century. The documentary revolution and the statute of testimony. Critique of the document / monument and use of historical sources. Method and production of historical knowledge. The theoretical discussion about the forms of elaboration and vulgarization of historical knowledge from fundamental links between History and Memory, in view of the relations between historians and society.
