Contribution to the Basic Education
The lecturers José Alves de Souza Junior and Franciane Gama Lacerda, Magda Maria de Oliveira Ricci and Maria de Nazaré Sarges advise the research activity called The Historical Knowledge in the school: teaching practice, research and historiography, by the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching (PIBID / CAPES) at the Deodoro de Mendonça School of Elementary and Middle Education, located in Belém, with the purpose of promoting the teaching experience to undergraduate students in History of UFPA. Another contribution of PPHIST to basic education, involving the participation of members of its teaching staff, is the constant development of didactic material or research and reflection material, aimed at teaching History.
Support to the Public Education
Through a subproject of PIBID, the Program carries out actions negotiated between the University and public schools in order to contribute to improve and stimulate the work developed by the school community, aiming at obtaining relevant results for the students' learning, as well as to contribute with training for teachers of History. In this way, the actions are carried out with the purpose of contributing to the academic formation of the scholarship students and collaborate both with the students' training and with the professional development of the teachers of the public school system, from the elaboration and shared planning of the activities and of the experiences lived in the school, considered as locus of investigation and formation.
